Bugatti was founded in 1940 in MontrΓ©al β a small Canadian bag maker built on a simple idea: bags should be well-made, well-designed, and within reach of everyone.
The story took its next turn in June 2013, when Andrew Hattem purchased the company and brought his family into the business. His vision was straightforward: travelers deserve gear that performs as well as it looks β and that doesn't cost a fortune.
That vision really came to life when his wife, Stephanie Beaudry, joined as VP of Product Development and launched the modern Bugatti luggage collections that travelers know today. From there, the family kept showing up. Their daughter, Stephanie Hattem, came on in 2014, started at the bottom, and today leads Ecommerce and U.S. Operations and later her husband joined as the Warehouse Manager. Their sons joined too, working across coordination and marketing as the next generation of the brand.

More than 86 years after the company stitched their first bags in MontrΓ©al, what started as a single product line has grown into a global house of travel goods β luggage, bags, business cases, and travel accessories β sold across many countries and trusted by retailers around the world.
We are still proudly headquartered in Boisbriand, Quebec, with our U.S. operations based in Pompano Beach, Florida and Β offices in New-York and China .
